LayedOut Weekend,
on Film.
August 8-10,2025.
The Layedout weekend in Victoria kicked off Friday night at Wheelies, where car clubs from all over rolled in just to hang out. Nothing fancy—just good vibes, engines humming, and people catching up.
Saturday is when it really came alive: the big barbecue at Layedout HQ. And honestly, it wasn’t just a barbecue—it was a feast. Cars lined every corner of this random Colwood neighbourhood, turning the streets into a full-on show (I’m sure the neighbours loved it… or at least pretended to, ahha). Everywhere you looked, there was something wild to take in.
And then came the cruising. Downtown was buzzing—tourists off the cruise ships had no clue what hit them. Suddenly a wave of custom rides rolled through. You could see their faces light up, cameras snapping away like they’d stumbled into LA. One lady even yelled out, “Are we in LA?”
Sunday wrapped it all up with the actual Layedout show, the “Field of Dreams,” at the Juan de Fuca rec center. The field was packed—honestly, I lost count of the cars. The sun was blazing, and yeah, I had to grab a Wheelies ice cream sandwich (or two). Worth it.
By the end, about 20 cars hit the streets for one last cruise. Rolling deep like that through Victoria was unreal—there’s just something about being part of that line, showing off the city’s sights while people look on in surprise.
From Friday night at Wheelies, to Saturday’s feast in Colwood, to Sunday’s sea of cars and that final cruise, it was a perfect weekend. Can’t wait to do it all over again next year.
That’s the best part of weekends like this. It’s not just the cars—it’s the people, the passion, and the way this lifestyle brings everyone together. Every ride has its own story, and when they all roll in at once, you get something unforgettable.
