Grand National

Roadster Show

On Film

Where the details tell the real story.

The 76th Annual Grand National Roadster Show ran January 30 to February 1, 2026, at the Fairplex in Pomona, just outside Los Angeles. It’s one of the biggest custom car shows of the year, bringing together hot rods, classics, and full custom builds for a weekend that honestly feels like stepping into another world.

You walk through these massive buildings and every few steps there’s another car that looks like it belongs in a movie. Everything has a story.

It’s not just a car show—it feels more like a fashion week for old-school cars. Builders bring their best work: flawless roadsters, perfectly worn-in classics, lowriders—all treated like pieces of art.

I went on Saturday with a couple of film cameras and way too many rolls of film. Ran into a few familiar faces from the Santa Maria show, which made it even better. It was a bit overwhelming at times, but in a good way. Almost 30°C, surrounded by cars and good people… I was in heaven.

Shot on film, these moments hold onto a kind of nostalgia you don’t want to rush past.
